01 / PROJECT DETAIL

DapurHPP

Cost-of-goods (HPP) management app for a small home-based food business.

LIVE

Solo project

SUMMARY

Tracks ingredient purchases and stock, calculates recipe COGS, manages production and sales, and produces profit reports with Excel/PDF export.

PRODUCT

PROBLEM

Home-based food businesses often calculate cost of goods on paper or in spreadsheets. That is error-prone, keeps no history of ingredient prices, and makes it hard to see which products are actually profitable.

SOLUTION

One workflow from ingredient purchase to profit report: purchases update stock, recipes calculate COGS, production locks a COGS snapshot, and sales link to production batches for exact profit.

KEY DECISION

Immutable COGS snapshot

Each production batch stores an immutable COGS snapshot, so later ingredient price changes do not rewrite past reports.

Security scoped to one business

Built for a single-user small business, not a multi-tenant SaaS, so there is no mandatory 2FA or session tracking. Security relies on hashed tokens, global rate limiting, and email notices for sensitive actions.

CONTEXT

Built around the workflow of a family-run fried food business.
